Christmas Paper Pieced Patterns

I have been busy creating a couple more foundation paper pieced (FPP) patterns lately! Last week I released this cute little Christmas Kitty FPP pattern. The Christmas Kitty pattern includes a 6″ x 6″ and 12″ x 12″ pattern sizes in the PDF download.


As a little girl, it was always a dream of mine to wake up and find a snuggly kitten under the Christmas tree, so I had to capture that in a quilt block. 🙂

The second Christmas FPP pattern I’ve been working on is this fun Candy Cane Heart quilt block. The Candy Cane Heart finishes at 12″ x 12″ and would be darling made into a pillow cover, table runner, or as a block in a Christmas quilt!


I love adding aqua in as a non-traditional Christmas color, so I just had to make the background out of this aqua Cotton and Steel Basics XOXO print. Now just to decide how I want to finish off this cute block. 🙂


I’ve been having so much fun making 6″ and 12″ blocks this December, I might just save them all up for an epic Christmas sampler quilt! Wouldn’t that be so cool?!?


Looks like I have quite a bit more sewing to do for a sampler quilt, though. 🙂
