If you’ve been following along with the Moda Bake Shop Countdown to Christmas, you’ll know that there have been a lot of fun 6″x 6″ block tutorials shared this month! I shared my Peppermint Twist tutorial back on December 1st and today I get to share a second 6″ block tutorial: a Christmas present!
This block is super easy and fast–you’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll have your own collection of Christmas presents sewn up! 🙂
The cutting instructions and a step-by-step tutorial are listed over at the Moda Bake Shop blog HERE, but I also wanted to write up the cutting instructions for a 12″ x 12″ block for those of you wanting a larger quilt block.
Below, you’ll find a quilt block diagram and cutting instructions for the 12″ x 12″ block. You can follow the step-by-step photo tutorial over at the Moda Bake Shop blog–all of the steps will be exactly the same, just cut the pieces according to the cutting instructions below.
I couldn’t help adding in a couple photos of the 6″ x 6″ quilt blocks I’ve recently made. Below, the Christmas present is paired with the Peppermint Twist block, which is also available as a free tutorial on Moda Bake Shop HERE.
And below are a few more of the 6″ blocks I’ve made this December. The Geometric Christmas tree and Christmas kitty are both FPP (foundation paper pieced) blocks available in my Craftsy and Etsy shops (the Christmas tree is beginner friendly and FREE in my Craftsy shop!).
Since there are still a few more days until Christmas, I might just have to see if I have time to add a couple more blocks to my 6″ block collection. 🙂
