I’ve had hearts on my mind the last couple weeks and after some late nights sewing, I have three new paper piecing patterns to show you!
The first is Herringbone Heart. It’s a beginner friendly foundation paper pieced (fpp) pattern that comes in three block sizes: 2″ x 2″, 4″ x 4″, and 6″ x 6″.
I wanted to make a quick project last week, so I made four of the 6″ x 6″ Herringbone Heart quilt blocks out of some of my favorite tiny prints and turned it into a cute Valentine’s pillow cover.
Holly from Maker Valley made some bright and cheery Herringbone Heart blocks–so cute, right?!?
And Natalie from Fiji Mama Quilts made some darling hearts into a mini quilt.
The next FPP pattern I designed is called Spread the Love. I wanted to make a heart that has radiating beams of love that spread out from the center. Spread the love is a beginning to intermediate FPP pattern that comes in 6″ x 6″ and 12″ x 12″ sizes.
The third FPP pattern I designed is called Diamond Heart. It’s a mash-up of a diamond and a heart shape and is a fun, modern, geometric design. The Diamond Heart quilt block pattern comes in 6″ x 6″ and 12″ x 12″ sizes.
I couldn’t resist making a Bonnie and Camille version, too! And a fun little secret about this pattern is that if you change the top, middle background triangle to the same color as the heart, it turns into a diamond–it’s two patterns in one! 🙂
You can find all of these fun heart patterns in either my Etsy Shop or Craftsy Shop. If you’re wanting to make all three hearts, I even have a three pattern bundle that will save you a bit of money. 🙂 Happy Sewing!
