Scrappy Circle Tutorial with OLFA

I am honored to have been chosen as one of OLFA’s Creators for 2018. As part of the fun, they posted an interview with me on their blog HERE, plus I was able to write a tutorial using some of my favorite OLFA tools. I chose to make this fun Scrappy Circle Pillow Cover, which was a breeze using their Circle Cutter (no templates required!).

I am a longtime OLFA user and I still have (and use!) the rotary cutter from when I started quilting as a teenager. I have always been impressed with the quality and utility of OLFA products and was so excited to try out a few new OLFA tools (you can see the yellow and black Circle Cutter below).

The OLFA Circle Cutter might look a little intimidating, but it’s so fun and simple to use! There’s a teeny tiny rotary cutter that quickly and easily cuts circles (I even did two layers at a time to speed things up!). But a warning: once you use the Circle Cutter, you’ll never want to cut a circle with scissors again! 😉

You can check out the full step-by-step photo tutorial for my Scrappy Circle Pillow Cover on the OLFA blog HERE.  If you make your own Scrappy Circle Pillow, please share with me on instagram using the hashtag #centerstreetquilts or post to my facebook page, Center Street Quilts. Happy sewing!

  1. Sweet pillow! Your tutorial is perfect! I couldn’t comment on the Olfa site, so came to visit you personally. I’ll look for an Olfa circle cutter next time I’m shopping!
