Starling Quilt with Art Gallery Fabrics and Fat Quarter Shop

I’m thrilled to be able to share my fun take on the Starling Quilt–a new (and free!) quilt pattern by Art Gallery Fabrics for Fat Quarter Shop. The Starling Quilt finishes at 52 1/2″ square and is a breeze to put together!

The Starling Quilt uses 8 fat quarters plus two different background fabrics. I chose to use the Art Gallery Fabrics Low Volume fat quarter bundle paired with an icy blue and a dark gray for my quilt and I think it will make a perfect gift for a baby boy!

I quilted my Starling Quilt with straight lines and added ice blue binding, which I think add the perfect finishing touches to this modern quilt.

  1. Gorgeous quilt! I love the large single quilt block quilts. Twenty years or more ago there was a quilt book called Big quilts or Big Block Quilts (mine is packed away still from a move and it’s out of print I believe). And these fabrics are delicious! Thank you for quilting and sharing!
