These fun fabric Valentines are super fun (and way easy) to make and I’m excited to share a little more information about them with you today.
Did you know that Fat Quarter Shop has a lot (and I mean A LOT) of free tutorials on their blog The Jolly Jabber? These Heart’s Delight fabric Valentines were originally shared a couple years ago by Me and My Sister Designs and today, we’re revisiting that tutorial!
I even had most of the required materials on hand already! I used some of my current favorite red and pink prints (from the Cheeky line by Urban Chiks for Moda), the Makin’ It Cute Heart’s Delight Templates (found HERE at Fat Quarter Shop), Odif 505 Spray Adhesive , and a Frixion pen (perfect for tracing the templates on fabric because the ink disappears with a little heat from the iron!).
I followed the video tutorial on the Heart’s Delight blog post (HERE) pretty closely, but decided to add a little handstitching along the outside edge of the center heart with Aurifloss embroidery floss. I love the extra touch it adds to the fabric hearts.
I loved making these three hearts and think this would be a perfect project for kids, too! Again, you can find the full instructions in a convenient video tutorial HERE.
