When Minki Kim asked me to participate in the Blog Tour for her new fabric line Someday for Riley Blake, I jumped at the chance! I love her style–with the tiny florals, cute illustrations (did you see the bikes and chickens?!?), and darling color palette.
I wanted a quilt pattern that showcased the prints and didn’t cut them up in too small of pieces, so I chose my own Little Wonder quilt pattern for this one. The pattern is simple and fast, and lets the fabrics shine by keeping them the focal point.
I chose the Someday Sprinkles print for the background fabric and it is definitely one of my favorite parts of the quilt! I love the subtle colors in the sprinkles and how well it balances the more saturated prints from the line.
I quilted some free motion swirls which I think complements the softness of the prints. Overall, the Someday line is just so sweet and darling–no matter what you make with it!
The Someday collection will be shipping to stores any day now (yay!) but in the meantime you can find a lot more Someday goodness on Minki’s blog and instagram page or by checking out Riley Blake Design’s instagram.
Plus, you can find my Little Wonder pattern on sale for 50% off until Saturday, Feb. 16th! Yipee! It’s a super fast and easy pattern that comes in two size options (baby or throw) with no seams to match. Little Wonder is perfect for a beginner or any quilter wanting a quick finish. Head over to my Etsy shop HERE to find it on sale (no code needed).
Happy Sewing!
That is really pretty – the pattern and the quilting showcase those pretty fabrics beautifully.
